Title: August 25, 2013 - Alma & Cape Enrage, NB
Post by: HATE2W8 on August 27, 2013, 08:12:01 AM
This had to be one of the best weather days of the summer.  When it is hot near the Bay of Fundy, you know it is a scorcher in Moncton.  Twelve Corvettes met up at Sobeys to make the trip to Alma.  Our first leaders, Bob & Lana Cook, were familiar with a scenic route to avoid the road construction through Gunningsville on our way to Hillsborough.  Our first stop was at the Tides Restaurant for some great food.   Thank you to Gloria for suggesting that we hit Kelly's for our sticky buns before lunch, because by the time we finished our luch, Kelly's was sold out.  They did have lots of cookies and squares to make the visit worthwhile.
Then to Cape Enrage.  Some had never visiited, although we have come close in the past.  Coming out of the parking lot, a gap in the caravan caused a separation which saw some turn right and the rest turn left, but we met up again in Hillsborough when the first group to arrive stopped for ice cream.  It was a great day for exploring.  Maybe we can try the zip-line next time we visit.

Although I didn't make the trip, here are a few pics sent to me by Doug MacDonald and Pat Roy.
