Meeting Minutes
October 26, 2019 – Lounsbury Chevrolet boardroom, Moncton, NB

The meeting began at 10:00 a.m. with Roger as Chair. He welcomed everyone that could attend. Three clubs were absent; however, Ray Cromwell from the LCCC forwarded his notes.
Sylvia read the LCCC's notes: A total of 35 activities kept this club busy in 2019, with no overnight trips. One event to note is the participation in the Hartland Days during the first Monday in August. The club membership totals 21 and representation was sent to all the other Corvette shows. Calendar for 2020 is nearly completed. (we will ask Ray to email to everyone).
Continuing with her own club's activities, Sylvia also indicated that they had representation from their club at all of the Corvette shows, including shows in the US. The St Andrews' day trip was so enjoyable, with participation from Saint John, Moncton, Fredericton and Maine, it may become an annual event. Another enjoyable day was the poker run, with members from the Moncton and Loyalist Club joining in... this may be an annual event as well.
Their own show was considered a success and thank you to those that participated from other clubs.
During the summer months, besides the car shows attended, they had a few cruise nights, an annual corn boil, participation in the Bar Harbor and Ellsworth weekend shows. The Christmas party is scheduled for Dec 7th.
The election of officers will be held next month. Some of their officers will be stepping down, so the search is on for volunteers. Events for 2020 are not yet finalized.
Ivan thanked the club, on behalf of Amanda, for the photo she has received and wanted to take a moment to wish Paul Dunn a happy birthday (today would have been his birthday). Their club is seeing a small attendance on runs and is hoping to improve that in 2020. Total membership is 116 with 5 holding 'lifetime' membership status.
The executive for the CCNS likely won't change but their AGM will be held tomorrow.
The Yarmouth show is considered to have been a success and next year it will be held on July 17-19. Ivan is working on special rates with a hotel located nearer to the show parking and on the waterfront.
This club had 8 vettes participate in the Carlisle/Bowling Green trip, putting 6400 kms on their cars in 16 days. On the 3rd Sunday of each month, the members take part in a brunch which maintains the off season contact. The club's charity is the Children's Trust Fund.
For the PEICC, Errol thanked Moncton and Lounsbury for hosting this meeting. Summer seemed to come to an abrupt halt after Hurricane Dorian. They keep busy in the winter months as well, and begin their Wednesday night gatherings in May. It is getting harder to get people excited to show up frequently.
Other than the other club shows, PEI members attend many local shows and parades.
There is discussion on changing the format for Vettefest next year, but more details will come as decisions are made. It is anticipated that the dates will be Aug 15/16. The Christmas party will be held on Nov 24th.

Last, but not least, Roger representing the GMCC members. Our season annually begins with the Speed Sport car show and ends with the Hampton Middle School show. We have activities every weekend, which include taking part in all of the Corvette shows and Atlantic Nationals. Our show was considered a great success, but, unfortunately, it rained overnight on Saturday leaving our parking field in a swamp-like condition.
We will finish the year with our Christmas party on Dec 7th.
Our sponsor, Lounsbury Chevrolet, will have a new contact for us, Troy Killen, with Kevin Horsman moving on to their Miramichi location.
Our calendar of events for 2020 will be worked on in January and our web page will quickly be updated. Definite dates so far are:
April 17-19: Radical Speed Sport Moncton Coliseum
May 29-31: Bar Habor weekend, Maine
June 6: Lounsbury Corvette Show, Moncton
June 19: Kingston Ontario Corvette Invasion
July 9-12: Atlantic Nationals (with Corvette show on Saturday, 11th)

Oct 30: Hampton Middle School car show
