Title: June 2 - Miramichi Fusion Festival
Post by: psdunn on June 03, 2012, 02:52:21 PM
Only 4 Corvettes departed from Moncton on this beautiful, sunny morning headed north to this community festival.  We were joined by Bill and Vivian Kierstead on our way by Rexton.  We all parked our cars in a designated area upon our arrival at the festival site, a former air force base, in Miramichi.  Two cars from the North Shore region of the province joined the display and another car from Moncton arrived a bit later so we ended up with 8 cars on display for which the event organizers were very thankful.  The People's Choice Award was won by the beautiful yellow 2009 convertible owned by Bob and Doreen Arbeau from Charlo, NB.  On the trip home, the Moncton contingent took a route that followed the Northumberland Strait shoreline from Rexton to Bouctouche and we had a clear view of the many wind turbines on the western end of PEI.  Upon arrival in Bouctouche, one of us had an ice cream cone while the rest went for lobster rolls - moral of that story is don't be too hasty to get to the front of the ice cream line!
