Fifteen Corvettes set our from Moncton for what has become our traditional first outing of the season, a barbecue picnic at the Hall of Fame in Petitcodiac followed by a drive through the countryside.  It was a lovely clear with a light, cool breeze.  We were met at the Hall of Fame by 3 cars from RVV in Fredericton.  Our pit master for the barbecue was our GMCC President, Roger, and despite his choice of chef's outfit (check out the pictures), the food was enjoyed by all.  After the meal, 9 of the GMCC cars drove west on the TCH to the Alma exit and traveled through Fundy National Park to the village of Alma where we made a quick rest stop.  The tide was out and the fishing boats rested on the bottom, waiting for their next chance to catch high tide and return to the waters of the bay.  We drove home along the Fundy shore on Route 114 and didn't even stop for ice cream along the way - it must have been cold!!
