Minutes of July 1, 2013

The regular monthly meeting of the Greater Moncton Corvette Club was held in the Lounbsury's meeting room on July 1 at 7:00 p.m. with the following members present:  Diane & Art Belliveau, Don MacAulay, Roger Bourgeois, Wornick Price, Roger & Leontine Boudreau, Annette Fougere Warren, Bob & Janice Surrette, Paul Dunn, Alfred and Zelica Landry, Steve White, Trueman Copp and Dwight and Libby Rayworth.

The June minutes stood as read.

The Loiunsbury Car show was held even though it rained.  Goodie bags were presented to everyone.  Autism Resource Centre received $250. from Lounsbury's as well as  money from sales at their BBQ.

19 cars left Moncton to attend the River Valley Vettes car show in Fredericton with good weather for the entire day.  Roger and Angie attended the Dinner that evening and the rest returned home after the show which ended around 3:00 p.m.

L'Abouteau Restaurant was the scene of our Lobster Party with 19-20 cars participating in the run.  After lunch, many of us toured the beach for a couple of hours before we left for a trip through Cap Pele, Midgic, Sackville, Dorchester and back to Moncton with a stop in Sackville at McDonalds for refreshments.

Roger and Angie attended the Canadian Tire Car Show in Dieppe on Sunday evening to see what was happening.  It was well attended.  There was no cost to get in.  50/50 tickets were sold and a donation to get in could be made   .

Bob Surrette collected $504. on our Cruise Night to Highfield Square which was donated to our charity – the Autism Resource Centre.

Our Advocate run was postponed due to rainy weather.

Atlantic Nationals

Steve presented the design for our t-shirt for the Atlantic Nationals.  The design was great but again the color blue did not come out as planned.  Thanks for your great work Steve.  More prizes are needed for the show.  Supper will be held at Jeanne's Restaurant on Mountain Road after the show.

Roger is planning his regular lunch at L'Abouteau Restaurant on Friday at noon.  We will meet at Fisherman's Paradise Restaurant at 12:00 noon.  He will take us to Action Truck Caps after the lunch which is hosting an open house that day.

Helpers are needed to park cars.  Steve will be in charge of Registration and Paul will sell t-shirts at $15. each.

Financial Report

Wornick presented the financial report.  Please see attached.  Our balance as of July 1 is ______.  Motion:  It was moved by Wornick, seconded by Leontine that the financial report be accepted.  Motion carried.

$250 was delegated to purchase 10 $25 gas cards for prizes to be awarded for trips taken over the summer. 

The Advocate trip has been rescheduled to July 7 leaving Kent at 9:00 a.m.  We will have lunch at Roger Gallant's trailer in Parrsboro.  Bring your own food.  BBQs will be available.

July 10 is our turn again to sponsor Cruise to the Bay. 

July 20-21 is the Matapedia Tour leaving Kent in Moncton at 7:30 a.m.

July 27 is the Maritime Meet in Truro.  We will be leaving Kents at 83:0 a.m.

CCSNB's Car show will be August 9 & 10.  Their banquet will be held on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Steamers.
