A total of 12 Corvettes left New Brunswick this sunny, hot Sunday morning to travel along the Fundy coast of Nova Scotia through Joggins, Apple River, Advocate Harbour and Parrsboro before looping back to Amherst and New Brunswick.  Our first stop was at the Joggins Fossil Centre to stretch our legs and explore the rocky beach at the foot of the cliffs, famous for the fossils that can be found here.  After our brief stop, we traveled south along the coast to the town of Advocate Harbour where we detoured to the shore to enjoy the refreshing breeze off the Bay of Fundy and the driftwood strewn beach.  From here, we went to our destination for the day - the summer retreat owned my club members Roger and Geraldine Gallant that sits atop the Fundy cliffs near Ward's Brook, NS.  At this gorgeous location we enjoyed a barbecue lunch and a couple of hours of socializing under sunny skies with a cool, refreshing breeze blowing off the Bay to keep the temperature comfortable.  Many thanks to Roger and Geraldine for hosting us at their beautiful summer property.  After our departure, we traveled a short distance down the road to Parrsboro for our mandatory ice cream stop and a photo session on the Parrsboro Wharf before turning and heading back along the secondary roads to Amherst and on our home destinations in New Brunswick.
