On a beautiful autumn day, 8 Corvettes and one wannabe (VW piloted by Wornick) left Moncton for a drive along the scenic Northumberland shore to the Cape Jourimain (pronounced Germaine) Nature Centre where we were greeted by two wonderful hosts who educated us all on the ecological and human history of the area.  For someone afraid of heights, the climb up the lighthouse was a touch traumatic but well worth it for the view of Confederation Bridge and PEI.  We ate lunch at the on site restaurant and the lobster stew was wonderful - I didn't hear any complaints about the lobster roll or lasagna either.  Unfortunately, this is a place that most people drive by in their haste to get to or from PEI but it is a stop that should be made and enjoyed.
After we left the Centre, we drove along the back roads to the Winegarden Estate vineyard for some tasting and shopping and then on to the Tim's in Amherst for a biobreak before heading home.
A great day and thanks to Gary and Suzanne Gaskin for putting it together and leading.
