October 5-6. 2013 - Mahone Bay, Bridgewater, Peggy's Cove, NS

What a wonderful weekend.  Members from the Greater Moncton Corvette Club, the PEI Corvette Club, and the Corvettes of Southern NB out of greater Saint John, headed out early Saturday morning with the sun rising in the distance.  35 Corvettes and 2 daily drivers began the trip from Aulac/Truro to tour the scenic route to Peggy’s Cove.
What a treat to find that we had preferred parking at the top of the hill.
We arrived under sunny conditions with lots of time to explore the World Famous Lighthouse.  Once the climbing and picture taking was complete, we headed into the restaurant for a group meal.    Not only was the food great, but it allowed us to get better acquainted with old friends to make new ones.
Once our bellies were full, we continued on the winding roads of the Lighthouse Trail to Lunenburg.  After many twists, wrong turns, and lost sheep, we regrouped near the Lunenburg Golf Course, which overlooked the postcard perfect site of colorful houses and businesses along the bay.
After check-in, we disbursed into smaller groups to find restaurants, tour the town of Mahone Bay to see the scarecrows in the evening light.... or just relax in our hotel room.
Sunday was another beautiful day. The wharf was designated as our parking spot and a great parking spot it was.   We explored the shops and flea market on Main Sttreet.  Around 1 p.m. is when the Corvettes started to split for the trek home.... those living the furthest away, left the earliest.  One last stop before home saw only 4 Corvettes left and Patterson’s Restaurant in Sackville was where we landed for a fantastic meal.
Thank you to EVERYONE who made this weekend that much more enjoyable.  Thank you to EVERYONE who had patience at the hotel check-in, and thank you to EVERYONE who helped stay cool when half the group took a short-cut.
