Minutes of May 5, 2014

The regular monthly meeting of the Greater Moncton Corvette club was held on May 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lounsbury's Meeting Room.  The following members were present:  Roger & Angie Bourgeois, Charles Gould, Roger & Leontine Boudreau, Dwight & Libby Rayworth, Don MacAulay, Gerry & Annette Warren, Ed LeBlanc, Dave Fyffe, Pat Roy, Doug MacDonald, Gary Gaskin, Ed & Kim Slade, Trueman Copp, Paul Dunn, Mike & Jeannie Lipton,&  Bob Steeves.

The April minutes stood as read.

Old Business

Speed Sport was a success again this year.  Roger thanked all those who helped with the set up and take down, and those who participated with their cars.

The Atlantic Corvette meeting was held on April 15 at the Lounsbury's meeting room.  Thanks to Lounsbury's  for the coffee & donuts which they provided for the meeting.  A copy of these minutes are attached to a file copy of these minutes.

Financial Report

As Wornick was not at the meeting, the financial report for May will be presented at the June meeting.

New Business

Alpha Solutions (Brad Hamilton) will be one of the two new sponsors we need for our car show T-shirts in July.

Lounsbury's has promised club members a 25% discount on parts and labour.

If you are planning to attend the Mahone Bay/Oak Island weekend, please be sure you book your hotel room.

The Church Run  will be rescheduled.

Our run to McAdam on Saturday, May 10th will leave McDonald's Magnetic Hill at 8:30 a.m.

A few cars from our club will make the run to Bar Harbor at the end of May.

The Club will attend a Corvette Club BBQ at The Maritime Motorsport  Hall of Fame Museum on May 18.  We will leave McDonald's Magnetic  Hill at 11:00 a.m.

Motion:  It was moved by Angie, seconded by Pat that ten $25 gas cards be purchased and drawn for over the summer.  Carried.

Correspondence

Roger has registration forms for the Casino New Brunswick Car Show on September 6-7.

There is a Summer Car Meet every Sunday evening sponsored by the Moncton Cruisers at the Canadian Tire in  Dieppe from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. from May 25 to September 28.

Please note that club e-mails are only being sent to those who have paid their membership for the year.

Motion to adjourn came at 7:30 p.m.

Pat won  $20 in the 50/50 draw.  Congratulations.
