Ten cars left Moncton on a clear, warm Saturday morning headed for a picnic at Mike Lipton's cottage on the shore of the Northumberland Strait.  We travelled along Route 15 to Port Elgin where we met another club member, bringing the car count to 11.  From Port Elgin, we followed a scenic secondary road along the shore to Tidnish Bridge, just across the border in Nova Scotia and from there, we followed the road along the coast through Pugwash to the village of Tatamagouche where we met up with Mike and 3 cars from the Nova Scotia Corvette Club bringing our total car count up to 15.  After a rest stop in Tatamagouche, Mike led us on the short drive to his cottage where we unloaded the cars and enjoyed our picnic lunch.  Good food, good company and a wonderful view across the blue waters of the Strait made for a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.  While we all missed Jeanne's enthusiasm and joyous laughter, I believe that most of us felt that she was not far away.  Thanks to you, Mike, and your family for your hospitality.
