Sept 7, 2014 - Sussex Balloon Fiesta

Thirteen Corvettes set out from Moncton on this chilly Sunday morning headed for Sussex and the show and shine that is part of the annual Balloon Fiesta.  We followed the Trans Canada Highway and arrived at the fairgrounds in plenty of time to claim a prime location to park and display our cars.  As the day progressed, the sun came out and the day became quite warm and very comfortable, bringing out a large crowd to enjoy all the cars on display.  By mid-afternoon, many of us were ready to hit the road so while some stayed at the fairground, another group set out for home travelling through Fundy National Park to Alma where we stopped briefly for a pit stop and to allow some to purchase the sticky buns that a local bakery has made famous.  From Alma, we drove along Route 114 through Riverside-Albert and Hillsborough to Moncton and home.
