What better way to spend Thanksgiving Weekend than to take a cruise around the Cabot Trail with the CCNS and enjoy the fall colors!

*Invitation extended to PEI Corvette Club, Greater Moncton Corvette Club, River Valley Vettes, and Corvettes of Southern New Brunswick

Tentative Itinerary

Saturday, October 11th8:00 am

9:15 am


11:30 am




2:30 pm

4:00 pm

6:30 pm   Depart Bedford Commons; Travel 78 kms (55 mins) to Truro Power Center; Meet up with NB/PEI members
Depart Truro Power Center; Travel 175 kms (~2 hrs) along Highway 104 to Cape Breton; *Stop in New Glasgow area to meet up with other members; *Stop at Auld's Cove Irving Big Stop for pit-stop/Meet up with CB CCNS members   
Take Route 19; Travel 60 km (~50 mins) to Glenora Inn and Distillery for lunch and distillery tour ($7/pp; may get a group rate if >20 people) http://www.glenoradistillery.com/index.html

Continue along Route 19 to Cabot Trail and then to Cheticamp (85 kms, 1 hr 15 mins)

Depart Cheticamp; Travel along Cabot Trail; various stops at look-offs, Keltic Lodge, etc (108 km; ~2.5 to 3 hrs)
Lunch at Coastal Restaurant & Pub (featured on "You Gotta Eat Here") in Ingonish

After lunch, continue along the Cabot Trail (Note that we will not be taking the Englishtown Ferry) to Highway 105, then 125 to Sydney (141 km, ~2.5 hrs)

Laurie's Motel in Cheticamp is booked for the night of Oct 11; however, Steve Whalen was able to set aside a block of rooms at another nearby motel, the Acadian Motel, under the name "Corvette Club" at a rate of $85 plus tax.  These rooms will be held until Sept 22nd and the number to call is 1-800-615-1977.  Availability is limited so call early.

Motel information for the night of the 12th in Sydney is included in the attachment.
