Minutes of November 3, 2014

The regular monthly meeting of the Greater Moncton Corvette Club was held on Monday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lounsbury's Meeting Room.  The following members were present.  Roger & Angie Bourgeois, Steve & Marilyn Whalen, Dwight & Libby Rayworth, Vic LeBlanc, Charlie Gould, Roger & Leontine Boudreau, Jake Clements, Austin & Carolyn McKay, Trueman Copp, Wornick Price, Ed LeBlanc, Dave & Louise Fyffe, Paul Dunn, Gary Gaskin, Steve White & Chanel Michaud. 

The October minutes stood as read.

Old Business

President's Run

The President'sRrun consisted of 18 Cars from GMCC and 10 cars from CCNS.  Most met from lunch at Masstown Market and then took in a great run through Parrsborough, Advocate, Spencer's Island on through to Amherst for supper at Pizza Delight.

Atlantic Corvette Meeting in October

Angie filled us in on what was discussed at the Atlantic Corvette Meeting held in October.

Club Logo

The logo was then discussed and it was voted that the design with the C6 logo be our new club logo.

Cape Breton Run  - Vic relayed to us the fun had on the trip to Cape Breton.

Christmas Party - Angie told us the cost of the Turkey Dinner will cost $16 per person, dessert included.  Dance music will not be supplied but we may have background music to listen to.

School Breakfast Program -   Motion:  It was moved by Angie, seconded by Louise that we make a donoation of $150 to the School Breakfast Program at Edith Cavell School.  Carried

Financial Report

Wornick gave the financial report.  Our balance for November 3 was $------.  Motion:  It was moved by Wornick, seconded by Charlie that the financial report be accepted.  Motion Carried.  A copy of Wornick's report will be attached to a file copy of these minutes.

Bills for Payment

Roger submitted the following bills for payment:

   Ice-cream – Rexton               $41.41
   Tim Hortons – Refreshments for Atlantic Meeting   $40.00   
               Total         $81.41

Motion:  It was moved by Leontine, seconded by Steve that these bills be paid.  Carried.

New Business

Election of Officers for 2015

The following nominations were received.  An election will be held at the December meeting.  Nominees:

   President         Roger Bourgeois
   Vice-President         Steve Whalen
   Treasurer         Wornick Price
   Communications      Paul Dunn
Events Coordinator   Charlie Gaudet   (Committee – Steve Whalen, Paul Dunn, Marilyn Whalen, Roger Bourgeois)

Winter Breakfasts

The Club will meet for breakfast at Cheers on November 16 at 9:00 a.m.

A Breakfast will also be held on December 21 at 9:00 a.m. sponsored by the Knights of Columbus on Vail Street.  The Knights of Columbus donate all proceeds from their monthly breakfasts to worthy causes.  It was thought that it would be good if our club took part in these breakfasts.

Roger reported he attended the Atlantic Nationals Volunteer Supper.   Remember to book early for the 2015 Atlantic Nationals.  It will save you money.

50/50 Draw  - Libby won $18 in the 50/50 draw.
