Greater Moncton Corvette Club
Minutes of May 4, 2015

The regular monthly meeting of the Greater Moncton Corvette Club was held at 7:00 p.m. on May 4 in the Lounsbury's Meeting Room.  The following members were present:
Roger & Angie Bourgeois, Charles Gould, Channel Michaud, Roger & Leontine Boudreau, Paul Dunn, Ed LeBlanc, Dwight & Libby Rayworth, Dave Fyffe, Trueman Copp, Jeff Cosman, Jake Clements, Gary Gaskin, Don MacAulay, Steve & Marilyn Whalen, George King & Ed Slade. 

Roger welcomed old and new members, new members being Jeff Cosman & George King.

Announcements

Roger announced the passing of Club members Jacques & Monique Bosse's son and  River Valley Vette's members Tom & Lois Hiltz's son.  The Club extended sympathies to both of these families.

The April minutes were approved as read.

Old Business

As Broadleaf Farms was closed on April 12, the Club met for breakfast at the Homestead Restaurant in Riverview.

Speedsport East April 17-19

Our Club display had cars from all seven generations.

Atlantic Corvette Meeting April 18

Corvette Club of Prince Edward Island, Corvette Club of Nova Scotia and Rivervalley Vettes attended the Atlantic Corvette Meeting on April 18 in Moncton at the Lounsbury's Meeting Room.

Presentation to Paul Dunn

Roger made a poster presentation to Paul on behalf of the Club to thank him for all the work he does in presenting articles for publication in "Fast Past" Magazine about events that the Greater Moncton Corvette club participates in.  Thanks again Paul.

Lounsbury's Corvette Show – June 6

Please plan on attending Lounsbury's car show on June 6.  They want to make it their biggest Corvette Show yet.  Amazing prizes will be awarded.

Financial Report

Wornick presented the financial report.  Our balance to date is $        .  A copy of the financial report is attached to a file copy of these minutes.  Motion:  It was moved by Charles, seconded by Steve that the financial report be accepted.  Carried.

Roger reported that he has requested our annual $1,000 from Lounsbury's and said it should be sent to the Club soon.

New Business

Five cars took part in the Nova Scotia run to Bridgewater/Mahone Bay with the Corvette Club of Nova Scotia on May 3.

Coming Events

A Church/Kent County Run will take place on May 9.

The Baie-Sainte-Anne Run will take place on May 17.

A Breakfast and Car Show will take place on May 25 with the Knights of Columbus.

The Bar Harbor Run will be May 29-31.

The Petty Autofest will take place in Petticodiac on May 30.

Roger had information on the Run for Chudmont to raise money for the George Dumont Foundation being held on September 12.  If interested, see Roger for details.

GMCC Show & Shine

Angie has begun the process of coming up with a shirt for this year's show – a beige shirt featuring a red Corvette.  She will order ladies and child's shirt as well which will have no sponsor's features on the backs of these shirts.

Angie said that ImageWear on Rideout Street in Moncton now has our Club logo which can be put on clothing you buy from their store or catalogue or from Marks.

Christmas Party

Marilyn has agreed to look for a place for our Christmas party.

50/50 Draw

Libby won $19 in the draw again this month.
