June 20, 2015 - Grand Lake Picnic

Thirteen cars left Moncton on a beautiful morning and travelled west along the TCH towards Fredericton and Grand Lake.  We picked up another car along the way and then met with a few more from Fredericton where we turned north for the west side of Grand Lake, now 16 cars in all.  We travelled north on Rte 690 along the west coast of the lake towards Grand Lake Park, the location for our picnic lunch, stopping along the way at a friend of Ron Gould's to have a look at his cars.  We arrived at the park just in time for their season opening so our group were the first cars into the park for 2015 after the ribbon cutting ceremony took place.  After lunch on the beautiful lakeshore, we headed north on Rte 690 and joined up with Rte 10, going through Minto and Chipman and all the way around Grand Lake and back to the TCH with a stop along the way to view another car collection and then an ice cream stop at McCready's just before getting on the highway and driving back to Moncton.
