Atlantic Nationals and the GMCC Car Show

Roger reported that the Newfoundland Corvetters really enjoyed themselves while in Moncton to attend the Atlantic Nationals.

We now have 91+ members in the Club.     Thanks to those who promoted the car show and other Corvette events we hold.

On Thursday, Roger and a few others took the Newfoundlanders to Cape Enrage, Alma, and The Rocks as well as to Bob Cooks to tour his garage.  Friday was the lunch at Cap Pele and then on to the home of Michel LeBlanc to see his garage display.  Friday evening broke a record for attendance downtown with people viewing the cars and listening to the bands play.  On Saturday we had 127-130 cars register for our show.  Roger gave special thanks to Victor, Charles, Paul, Angie, Steve White, Steve & Marilyn for all their help with the show.  Thanks also to those who were able to provide prizes for the show.  Supper was good and lots of great prizes were given away there as well.  In the evening, some of the Corvetters drove around the parade route and then parked to watch the cars on Mountain Road.  A large number of Corvettes also parked on the hill at Centennial Park on Sunday.

T-shirt sales were good but we still have a number left.  Numbers will need to be revised for next year.
