A group of 10 cars left Moncton on a cool, clear autumn morning headed to Clark Chevrolet in Fredericton to participate in the celebration of their 100th anniversary as a Chevrolet dealer.  We met another member along the way so our group ended up at 11 cars.  Everything was fine as we travelled along the TCH until we passed the Rte 10 exit when we encountered a construction sign.  There were several patches in this zone where it appeared that they has just spread tar and then dumped coarse gravel on top of it and before we realized what it was, we were into it with stones banging on the bottom of the cars and rocks flying everywhere.  Needless to say, we hit the brakes and proceeded with extreme caution until we cleared the mess.  After our arrival at Clark's, a close inspection revealed that a few of us had some new opportunities to practise out touch up skills.  It was a beautiful day for the entire show and the final car count was in the 120 range, including classic and antique cars and trucks and hot rods in addition to a large turnout of Corvettes.  When it came time to leave, we charted a course for home along secondary roads to avoid the construction mess on the highway and we enjoyed a beautiful drive through some of the most picturesque countryside in NB.
