Greater Moncton Corvette Club
May 02, 2016      7 PM      Lounsbury Meeting Room

Present: Roger and Angie Bourgeois, Paul Dunn, Dave and Louise Fyffe, Gary and Suzanne Gaskin, Charles Gould, Don MacAuley, Wornick Price, Dwight and Libby Rayworth, Steve Whalen, Jake Clements, Ken Cameron, Victor LeBlanc, Vernon Croswaite, Daniel and Christina LeBlanc, and Doug MacDonald.

The regular monthly meeting of the club was called to order at 7 PM by the acting chair, Angie Bourgeois, with 20 members present.  Two new members — Daniel and Christina LeBlanc — were welcomed.

The minutes of the April meeting were read and accepted.

Old Business:
a) Report from Speed Sport East — load-in began at 6 AM and went smoothly; good feedback was received on the display; a full complement of cars were present; our club won 2nd place in the division and received a bucket of Mother's products to be used for prizes later in the year along with a $200 prize.  Thanks are extended to Don MacAuley for his leadership on this project and to all the volunteers who made the show a success.
b) Atlantic meeting had all clubs represented except for Loyalist Corvettes and the Newfoundland Club.  Nova Scotia is investigating new options for insurance.
c) Steve Whalen reported the Oak Island tour is now full.
d) The first run of the season, held this past weekend with the Nova Scotia club, had 21 cars.
e) The Gaspe run has 17 cars registered.
f) The Open House had a few attendees with a good exchange of pictures and memories.

The current account stands at (avail on request) with all submitted expenses to be paid.

New Business:
a) Bobbie Steeves reported on progress for Steeves Reunion 250 and our role in the celebrations.
We are prepared to participate on Sunday, July 24th and/or as needed.  Roger will be the contact on this project.
b) Various season drives were discussed:
— June 04 from 9 - 2:30 will be Petitcodiac Auto Fest
— Ontario tour has 10 cars registered
— May 14 drive to Doug Bannon's collection of Fords and on to Buctouche (10 AM at Irving Dieppe)
— May 22nd to Cape Tormentine (9:30 Am at Irving Dieppe)
— May 29th to Pictou and Rolly MacDonald's collection   
— June 18th to Fredericton (Magnetic Hill at 8 AM)
— second annual run to Fox Harb'r on October 22nd
c) remember to park away from the building on meeting night
d) merchandise report for 25th anniversary from Wornick:
after much discussion the group agreed to investigate the cost of mugs, carrying bags, and         T- shirts with decals and golf shirts with embroidery crests.  Wornick will report on costs for these items and preordering will probably be necessary in order to avoid overruns.

Adjournment was declared at 8 PM followed by the 50/50 draw won by Roger Bourgeois.
