The first club run of the year turned out to be a wet one as we encountered drizzle and rain for most of the day.  In spite of the weather, 6 Corvettes, 1 Ferrari and 2 members in their metal cars showed up for a drive to Shediac to tour the wonderful car collection put together by Doug Bannon; it is a very eclectic collection with something to appeal to every taste.  One of the vehicles is a beautiful 1913 Ford that was purchased from the family of Marks Lockhart, one of our club members.  After a very enjoyable tour of the collection, we drove north along the coast to the town of Bouctouche and the Pirate de la Mer Restaurant, renowned for their excellent lobster rolls.  As always, it was busy but the service was quick and the food was good.  Our drive back to Moncton took us along the Bouctouche River to Sainte-Marie-de-Kent and then south through downtown Saint-Antoine to home.
Thank you to Doug Bannon for hosting us and allowing us to enjoy his collection.
