Greater Moncton Corvette Club
May 30, 2016​7 PM​Lounsbury Meeting Room
Present: Roger Bourgeois, Paul Dunn, Dave and Louise Fyffe, Gary Gaskin, Charles Gould, Don MacAuley, Wornick Price, Dwight and Libby Rayworth, Victor LeBlanc, Doug MacDonald, Roger and Leontine Boudreau, Ed LeBlanc, Mike Lipton, and Dave Gates. (16)
 
The regular monthly meeting of the club was called to order at 7 PM by president, Roger Bourgeois, with 16 members present.
 
The minutes of the May meeting were read and accepted by the membership.
 
Old Business:
a) Roger reported on the most recent runs:
​i) May 14th — Doug Bannon’s Collection at Shediac Bridge has 16 cars that are regularly used.
​ii) May 22nd — Cape Jourmaine tour had 17 cars and ended at the new Big Stop at Aulac.
​iii) May 29th — Pictou tour had 14 cars to visit Rollie MacDonald’s collection
 
Financial Report:

The current account stands at $xxxxx.  This includes a cheque for $1,400 from Lounsbury’s.

MOTION
Gift cards to be used as prizes for various runs at a cost of $250 was approved.

New Business:
a) Wornick presented the results of his research for suitable souvenirs for our 25th anniversary.  After extensive discussion the membership agreed on the following motion:
MOTION​
Doyles will be asked to provide 50 commemorative golf shirts at a cost of $25 each.

After further discussion, it was agreed that an e-mail would be sent to members requesting pre-orders with sizes so that this transaction will be completed before June 30th.  All shirts will be blue and in a cotton/polyester blend.  One hundred carry bags will also be ordered at a cost of approximately $6 each with the total cost to the club of $1,558.27.
The club extended its thanks to Wornick for the work involved in this project.
b) Charles Gould is gathering the prizes for our show.
c) Coming events:
​July 09... GMCC Show - 127 cars last year and we hope for more this season
​June 3 - 5...Bar Harbour Corvette Show
​June 5 - 14...Windsor Trip
​June 18...RVCC Show in Fredericton
​June 25...Lounsbury Show and Shine — please support our chief sponsor

d) For our information:
           *N.B. Antique Auto Club – 50th anniversary Show and Shine at Frederiction Exhibition Grounds on July 31st.  This is also Memramcook show day.
​*Thank you note to be sent to Rollie Macdonald for his work on the Pictou run.
​*Suggestion for next year — wine tour of the Valley with Pete Luckette
​*Information for Tuesday night cruises at Kim’s Diner in Riverview — Corvette night will be August 2nd but Corvettes are always welcome
​*Dieppe Canadian Tire Sunday cruise nights have begun their season.

50/50 draw winner was Gary Gaskin for $16.
