June 2016 - Road Trip to Windsor - Part 2

Day 3:  Today started out a little more leisurely with breakfast in the hotel restaurant, followed by a run to our first wine stop (photo 1, 2, 3), Huff Estates.  What a great property and a great tour.  Thank you to our hosts Dave & Donna.  We were joined by a wonderful couple, Jeff & Amanda, who tagged along in their beautiful '81.  As we continued our tour of Prince Edward County and the beautiful country sides along Lake Ontario, the sun would peak out at us to keep the tops off/down.  Our next stop was another winery & gift shop before heading to lunch at Restaurant on the Knoll, overlooking the Sandbanks at Westlake (photo 4, 5).  The sand banks are incredible to see.  Our lunch, overlooking the lake as promised, was buffet style and a great selection, some even kept room for dessert.  Then we embarked ' on the road again' to the Lake on the Mountain and the Lake of Mystery (photo 6, 7, 8,)
After some fantastic, winding roads with spectacular views, we headed to Jeff's home to view his car collection, of which he is most proud, and rightfully so.  After a relaxing few hours on his back deck, basking in the sun, we thought it was a good time to head off for our evening meal and perhaps take in the Belleville local car show.  Unfortunately, we arrived just as they were packing up as it seems a rain shower had passed through and most called it quits. 
Following our meal, and a re-tank, our hosts brought us back to our hotel for an early-to-bed evening.   It is off to Niagara Falls tomorrow and our feet need a rest.

Day 4:  a relaxing breakfast and away we go, 5 Vettes, to Niagara Falls.  What great time we made on a 3.5 hr drive.  Arriving at our hotel, we relaxed a little before going for lunch at the Skylon Tower.   An absolutely wonderful buffet, great view of the falls from 775 feet up.  Then to the Casino to meet 2 couples who travelled from Buffalo, NY to join us for the evening with their Vettes.  (Photo 9, 10, 11, 12, )
