Greater Moncton Corvette Club
Lounsbury Meeting Room
Present: Roger and Angie Bourgeois, Paul Dunn, Dave and Louise Fyffe, Charles Gould, Don MacAulay, Wornick Price, Dwight and Libby Rayworth, Steve and Marilyn Whalen, Ed Leblanc, Gary and Judy Butler, Jeanne and Roger Cormier.

The regular monthly meeting was called to order by the president, Roger Bourgeois, with 18 members present.  Members – old and new – were welcomed. 

The sympathy of the club is being extended to Annette Fougere Warren on the death of her husband, Gerry after a long illness.  The service was well attended by members from this club and others.

Roger reported on the successes around Atlantic Nationals this year.  Friends from both Newfoundland and Ontario were entertained during the week.  Saturday attendance exceeded 107 cars.  Charles Gould supervised the auction which raised $350.00.  Prizes won included a welding bench for Harry from Newfoundland and a welder for Don MacAuley.  The major awards were won by Todd Morrison for his 1964 red coupe and for Dean Hannay with his 1960 white convertible.  Special thanks to the following members --- Charles Gould, prizes and supper auction; Don MaAuley, Monique and Paul Guironard, Ron Gould, parking; Paul Dunne, photography and prizes; Marilyn and Steve Whalen, Angie Bourgeois, registration; Wornick Price plaques and megaphone, etc.  Special thanks is extended to those who procured or donated prizes and to our sponsors:
Action Car and Truck Accessories, Alpha's Appliance Solutions, Atlantic Cooled Engines, R.K. Buzzell, Uni Financial, Comfort Homes, Gary Steeves Insurance, Les Pneus Goguen Tires Inc, Lounsbury Chev Old Dealership, MacDonald Corvettes, Moland Corvettes, Mr. Lube, Riverview Truck Repair, Shepps' Transmission, Central Corvette Parts, and Corvette Depot.
Our club has received much praise for the hospitality that has been extended to others over the last month.  There have always been cars to meet our visitors. ​

The minutes of the July meeting were read and accepted by the membership with one addition --- Bertrant was thanked for his BBQ hospitality on the Gaspe run.

Old Business:
a) Roger reported on recent events
     --- Yarmouth, 4 cars, tokens by Ivan Hines were distributed
​--- Miramichi Drag Races, 8 cars, great fun and will do again
​--- Steeves Family Reunion, 4 cars in parade, 8 cars for show, 12 cars for car show sponsored by Gary Steeves Insurance
​--- Truro Show, 12 cars, special thanks to Brian and Debbie Palmer and their clubs for a great event
​--- special thanks to Ivan Hines for his contribution of Atlantic Corvette stickers.  We received approximately $800 worth of product for an investment of $158!
​--- Memramcook show went well, 13 cars

New Business:
a) Information on upcoming activities:
- Toonie Tuesday Night car show at Kim's Diner in Riverview is underway for the season
- The upcoming runs as per the published calendar were discussed with meeting times and locations

b) Latest gas card was won by Roger Bourgeois on the Nova Scotia run
c) Golf shirts --- 93 were ordered and there are only a few left --- a great success thanks to Wornick; a few hats are also left
d) Thanks to those who are offering or have offered hospitality to the club
e) Information re the oil prize promised earlier in the season --- this has been solved and will be awarded during the season's runs
f) Membership update --- currently 91 families which is the same as last year

Adjournment was moved by Angie at 8 PM.
50/50 draw for $13 won by Libby Rayworth
