GMCC Monthly Meeting Minutes - August 2017

Greater Moncton Corvette Club
August 07, 2017      Lounsbury Meeting Room      7 PM

Present: Roger and Angie Bourgeois, Paul Dunn, Dave and Louise Fyffe, Ed LeBlanc, Don and Debbie MacAuley, Wornick Price, Dwight and Libby Rayworth, Paul and Monique Girouard, Rick and Helen Estabrooks, and Pierre Daigle (16 members)

1.   The regular monthly meeting was called to order by the president, Roger Bourgeois, with 16 members present.  All members, including new member Pierre Daigle, were welcomed.

2.   The minutes of the regular July meeting were accepted as read.

3.   Old Business:
      The president reported on the most recent runs (please see the attached information or view our website).

4.   Financial Report:
a)   The financial report was accepted as presented by the treasurer (see attached paper copy).

b)   Bills for payment were approved ($503.13).
      Moved: Paul Dunn   Seconded: Libby Rayworth   Accepted
It was noted that Trueman Copp has made a donation of $365 for the purchase of our new lanyards.
c)   Angie Bourgeois will be issued the $500 cheque approved earlier for the donation to Crossroads for Women

5.   New Business:
a)   Upcoming events:
   …Saint John Car Show on Saturday, August 12, 2017 leaving MacDonald’s, Magnetic Hill at 8:30 AM
      …BBQ at Lindou cottage on Sunday, August 13, meeting at Dieppe MacDonald’s at 10 AM
      …August 19-20 for PEI Car Show weekend will leave Aulac at 9 AM and Dieppe at 8 AM on 19th; leaving Dieppe on the 20th at 8:30 AM
      …August 24 – 27 is Carlisle
      …Grand Lake Picnic Run, 27 August, will leave MacDonald’s Magnetic Hill at 10AM
      …Roger will check on overnight accommodations for the September run to Caraquet/Shippegan/Lameque
   …2019 Caravan to Bowling Green has generated good interest --- 2 to 3 from Nfld, 5 from NS, 2 to 3 from PEI and 1 from NB have already booked.  Information is available at
   …Scoudouc Swap meet at Dutcher’s will be held August 12/13.

b)   Our shirts were a success this year and we will need a volunteer to take over this work for next year in order to divide the work more evenly.
c)   We currently have 117 members --- well above our goal of 100 members for the year.

There being no further business the meeting was declared adjourned on motion by Angie Bourgeois.  The 50/50 draw netted $14 for the winner --- Don MacAuley.
