Greater Moncton Corvette Club

Present: Angie Bourgeois, Roger and Leontine Boudreau, Paul Dunn, Dave and Louise Fyffe, Gary Gaskin, Charles Gould, Ed LeBlanc, Wornick Price, Ken Cameron, Victor LeBlanc, Dave Gates, Greg Zwicker, and Pierre and Karine Lavoie (16)

The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Angie Bourgeois with 16 members present.  All were welcomed to the 2018 season and regrets were received from the president who was unable to attend.

Minutes of the December 2017 meeting were read and accepted as presented.

Continuing Business:
a)   The Christmas party was a great success. There were 4 no-shows which were covered from club funds.  Thanks to those who helped with the fun including Don MacAulay, Paula Cameron, Louise Fyffe and Paul Dunn.  The event raised $370 in cash.
b)   The December breakfast was a great occasion for the kids and thus for those who attended.

Financial Report:
a)   Current account stands at xxxxxx with 4 additional memberships paid today.
                Moved: Wornick Price      Seconded: Ken Cameron   Approved
b)   Bills for payment arising from the Christmas party were approved (see attached memorandum) and the three year renewal fee for the website.
      Moved: Leontine Boudreau   Seconded: Ed LeBlanc   Approved
c)   Payment for CCCC membership will be held back until next month.

New Business:
a)   Bar Harbour deadline is February 1st and registration is not full yet.
b)   2019 Bowling Green event is full but a waiting list is available.
c)   Events meeting will be held on January 16th at 7 PM at this location.  Please bring your ideas for 2018 trips/runs.
d)   Memberships are now due with 55 paid to date.
e)   The position of vice president for the club is still open.  All other executive and management positions have been filled by acclamation.
f)   For the information of club members:
   Greg Zwicker suggested members might offer their services to help the Legion with the poppy campaign this fall.
        Louise Fyffe spoke about upcoming shows at Riverview Arts Centre.
        Victor LeBlanc had draw tickets available in support of Cystic Fibrosis research.

The meeting was declared adjourned on motion of Leontine Boudreau at 7:45 PM.
The 50/50 draw netted $17.50 won by Dave Gates.
