Greater Moncton Corvette Club

Present: Roger and Angie Bourgeois, Roger and Leotine Boudreau, Paul Dunn, Dave and Louise Fyffe, Don and Debbie MacAulay, Wornick Price, Dwight and Libby Rayworth, Trueman Copp, Doug MacDonald, Chanel Michaud, Betty May Madden, Rick and Helen Estabrooks, Greg Zwicker, and Bob Steeves. (20)

The regular monthly meeting was called to order by the president at 7 PM with 20 members in attendance. 

Minutes of the April 2018 were accepted as read.

Continuing Business:
a) Membership now stands at 103
b) Speed Sport East Report --- Don MacAuley --- the event was very successful with 9 cars on display; 800 Hot Wheels were given to very happy youngsters; this is an activity worth continuing; we are missing two banners; Ivan Hines is happy to provide the club with items we may need/want; Don will not be available to set up the Speed Sport Show for 2019
ACTION:
Club members to create a list of possible items for the good of the club
c) The report from the Maritime Corvette meeting has been forwarded to our president.

Financial Report: (paper copy attached)
​The balance as of May 7/18 is xxxxc
           The total cost for Speed Sport East was $1020.00; the second place prize was ​$400.  There will a further $500 for this event from Lounsbury's.

New Business:
a) Christmas party has been scheduled for December 8th
b) The upcoming trips are listed on the website
c) Next group breakfast is May 27th
d) Betty May Madden confirmed that the Vancouver Clear Bra installer did an excellent installation last month
e) Cindy Wilcox, president of Quad C, visited Moncton on April 12th and persuaded Paul Dunn to accept the position of chief editor for "Fast Past"
f) Ed LeBlanc's family has sent a note thanking us for our friendship during their loss
g) Cyril McNeil, founder of Saint John Corvettes, recently died
h) Preregistration for Lounsbury Show (June 09) to be done by June 04 in order to reserve T-shirt.  Angie and Libby to do registration desk
i) Roger Bourgeois enjoyed a Barrett Jackson day while in Florida last month


Meeting was adjourned at 7:55PM on motion of Angie Bourgeois

50/50 draw was won by Trueman Copp for $13.
