Greater Moncton Corvette Club
October 07, 2019      Lounsbury Meeting Room​    7PM

Present: Roger and Angie Bourgeois, Dave and Louise Fyffe, Don MacAuley, Dwight and Libby Rayworth, Trueman Copp, Margaret Mayes, Victor LeBlanc, Rick and Helen Estabrooks, and Bob Cormier. (13)

The meeting was called to order by the president with a welcome to the 13 members in attendance and to our guest, Angèle Collette, representing the Autism Resource Center.
On behalf of the club she was presented with the cheques of support from our year of fund raising ---- $2000 directly from the club and $750 from Atlantic Nationals.  The Lounsbury BBQ netted $1025 and the Nationals BBQ netted $6065 so our support total for the year was close to $10,000.  Angele thanked the club for their generosity and reported that the Center is drawing closer to being able to have their own building which will greatly help their efforts to support families who are dealing with this condition.

Minutes of the September meeting were accepted as presented.

Old/Continuing Business:
a) Induction ceremony for Maritime Sports Hall of Fame on November 16th will honour Trueman Copp and Greg and Claudette Turner along with others. Tickets are available at a cost of $80.00 for the banquet and must be purchased by November 01.
b) Tours completed:
     ... Shipyard, museum and Bank of NB tour to Riverside/Albert area --- 13 cars with 5 NS members
     ... Day trip to St. Martins --- 22 cars --- good time for all
​... Rys Run --- 18 cars touring Albert County, to Sussex and back to Blair Agencies on Pine Glen Road


Financial Report:
In the absence of the treasurer the vice president presented the report showing a balance of $xxxx. as of this date.

New Business:
a) Oct 12 --- President's Run --- leaving Macdonald's Restaurant at Dieppe at 9AM. Travelling main highway to Ultramar exit at Rte 104 in NS and proceeding through back roads to Wallace area.
b) Oct 13 --- Buctouche Pageant will need 20 cars to carry the contestants or we will manage by using multiple trips to do this event.  Contact is Michel at 962-3245
c) Oct 19 --- Lobster Run --- meet at Petrocan at Point Park for 9:30 AM ending at Goshen Snowmobile Club for lunch
d) Knights of Columbus breakfasts ---- Oct. 20, Nov 17, and Dec 15
e) Oct. 25 --- Hampton Middle School --- depart MacDonald's at Magnetic Hill at 10 AM --- always a fun time with the kids at the school
f) Oct. 26 --- Atlantic Corvette meeting at Lounsbury's --- any concerns are to be forwarded to Roger
g) Roger has met Troy Killen, the new sales manager at Lounsbury's and expects a good working relationship
h) A thank you note has been received from Wayne and Lisette Coster on the death of her mother
i) Atlantic National Volunteer Supper was held this past weekend at Lions Club on Mark Avenue.  The run the next day toured three collectors' garages in the area.
j) Name tags and sweaters are now available to those who ordered --- more information will follow.
k) Membership is now 143 families
l) Nominations for 2020 --- the club is in need of many members to make it work efficiently.  The executive positions will be open for nominations in advance of our elections.  Wornick Price has volunteered to remain as our treasurer.

There being no further business the meeting was declared adjourned followed by the 50/50 draw won by Helen Estabrooks for $11.00.
