February 3, 2020
Lounsbury Meeting Room – 7pm

Present ;  Roger and Angela Bourgeois, Rick and Helen Estabrooks, Louise and Dave Fyffe, Gary Gaskin, Ed LeBlanc, Dwight and Libby Rayworth, Paul and Monique Girouard, Betty Mae Madden, Don MacAulay and Debbie MacPherson, Charles Gould, Wornick Price (17)

The meeting was called to order by the President who welcomed the 17 members present.

Minutes of the January meeting were accepted as read. 

Old/Continuing Business :  A) The season planning meeting at the Knights of Columbus after breakfast on Jan 19, 2020 was cancelled due to snow falling and a forecast for it to continue, it was decided to reschedule for Jan 27 at Lounsbury meeting room at 7 pm.

B) Our calendar for the 2020 season has been started, it was reviewed month by month with few changes.  President reminded all that some dates could be added and others retracted as the season went foreward.  He thanked all those that came out for the planning meeting and helped to get this started. 

C) It was reported that the trip to Kingston had been sold out.

D)  Bob and Melissa Cormier delivered the cheque for $400 to the Moncton SPCA and a thank you card was read by the President.  Roger and Angela Bourgeois delivered cheque for $400 to Jean E.S. Irving Centre for women and children as well as $400 to the Knights of Columbus breakfast program.  This was the disbursement of the funds collected during the Christmas Party.  All donations were very much appreciated and they thanked all members for their generosity.

Financial Report:  The treasurer, Wornick Price, reported the current bank balance as $xx, with expenditures of $943.09 and income of $414.49.  Cheque for $30 had been received, outstanding cheque for $400, and bills received for payment in the amount of $100 and $150 for the webmaster.  Motion to accept moved by Wornick Price and seconded by Angela Bourgeois.

Membership for the Maritime Motorsport Hall of Fame.

New Business : A)  A volunteer is needed to head up the Speed Sport East April 16 – 19, 2020, it was also reported that the posts required repainting, would be done closer to the event.  At this time no one came forward to volunteer to plan this event.

B)  Plastic license plates are being done with our club logo which can be used for display or souvenirs, C1 – C5  vettes have a bracket on the front to accommodate the plate, only 5 are being done so far to see how well they sell.

C)  Club membership for 2020 stands at 61 paid members and counting.

D)  Production of the first C8 is supposed to start this week, February 3, 2020.

E)  A thank you card was received from Paul and Monique Girouard in the passing of his father.

F)  Additions to the calendar discussed with clarification on some event, dates of Vettes to Vets to be clarified as dates showing on calendar are those for 2019 season.

Meeting declared adjourned by the President.

50/50 winner in the amount of $16  was Charles Gould.
