April 8, 2021
Video Chat – 7PM

Present on chat Roger and Angela Bourgeois, Bob Cormier, Rick and Helen Estabrooks, Terri and Tom Osler, and joining by phone Wornick Price.

President Roger Bourgeois welcomed everyone especially our friends from Kent County Terri and Tom Osler.

Minutes of previous meeting can be reviewed on line.

Old Business: President reported that not much happened since the last meeting, a few ideas from the executive were presented for our 30th anniversary celebration including pins, coins, patches and grocery bags.  He advised that Angela Bourgeois has been working on pricing which was sent out via e mail to all.  Due to the vendors being out of province this has created a bit of work.  Coins 100 – 300 would be approx $10.32 each.   Grocery bags – 150 approx $ 5.08 each.  Discussion ensued regarding the color of the bags and it was decided on red with our blue crest with sponsor name represented.  More work to be done on pricing for the patches and pins.  Budget for the anniversary approx $2000.00.

Financial Report:  Treasurer Wornick Price advised that sponsorship cheque from Lounsbury's had been received in the amount of $1000.00.  Cheque in the amount of $100.00 for the Antique Car Club membership had been sent.  All other dues have now been paid.  Expenses in the amount of $182.00.  Balance on hand XXXXX.  Motion to accept financial report made by Angela Bourgeois and seconded by Rick Estabrooks, all in agreement, motion accepted.

Decision was made to send invoices to our other club sponsors.

Angela Bourgeois created a letter for Lounsbury's to provide to new and used corvette purchasers so they could contact the club directly should they wish to take advantage of the free membership for the first year of ownership.

New Business: 1)   President Roger Bourgeois advised of the passing of Gilbert Sewell of Papineau First Nation.  Gilbert was an accomplished elder having been taught by his grandfather on how to survive in the woods during extreme cold and what plants to eat and what not to eat.  He had given many lectures at universities, with the Armed Forces etc.  He had given the club membership a tour on one of our trips to the north shore organized by Evelyne and Phillip Valotaire and Jeannine and Tim Scott, everyone felt this was a wonderful trip.
2)  Lounsbury's is going to send new applications to all corvette sales since June of 2019. Letter provided by Angela Bourgeois.
3)  We have been advised we can use the meeting room at Lounsbury's for our meetings starting in May 2021 providing the Atlantic Bubble is in effect.  President will check to see how many members could be accommodated in the space with social distancing.  RSVP will be required as well as mask wearing.
4) Cards have been received from NAACC for the executive with 10% discount coupon from Marks Work Warehouse.  These will be distributed in person at the next meeting.

There being no further business meeting adjourned by President.

Next meeting scheduled for May 3, 2021.
